Corroboree Billabong

We drove half an hour down the road to stay behind the Corroboree Wetlands pub near Corroboree Billabong. There's a cruise there so we decided to up stumps and move east along the Arnham Highway towards Kakadu for a few nights.

Lovely spot. Grass, pool, shade for the van and sun for the solar. Ideal.

Corroboree Billabong is beautiful. Teeming with birds and crocodiles 🐊
Our cruise had just 6 people and our guide was fantastic. Highly recommended if you're ever in this part of the world.

So stealthy. There's a reason they outlived dinosaurs.

Jabiru is actually a bit of a nickname for the known as a black necked stork. It's not the indigenous name,  but it sure sounds like it would be. It's not black, it's more like that beautiful blue/green of a peacock. Beautiful.
A Jabiru is actually a bird native to South America
