El Questro

From Kununurra we headed north west to El Questro. Historically a cattle station but now a tourist resort and campground.

Some people stay in private camping accommodation or at "The Homestead" for thousands of dollars a night... we were happy in the campground with a powered site to run our air conditioning... it was hot.

We began each day with an early morning walk to a gorge before the sun was hot for a swim. I mean, the whole point of being here is the beautiful gorges.

Emma Gorge
This was our pick! So lovely.

El Questro Gorge.

The water clarity is amazing.

A good couple of nights and days.
North to Wyndham next.

  1. I love seeing where you are and checking your location on Google Maps - looks like there's a photo opportunity ahead in Wyndham with the Big Crocodile!

  2. Haha We drove straight past the night fibreglass croc on the edge of town. He's looking a bit faded and weathered!
