Hooray! We made it!
We stayed at a beachside caravan park at Seisia, a community in Bamaga. Not much happens in Bamaga - I think it really only exists for tourists to use it as a base to go the last 45 minutes to Pajinka, the indigenous name for the tip.
The video below is some of the road to the tip.
To get to Bamaga you need to cross the Jardine River Ferry, owned and operated by the local community who take full advantage and own the most expensive 30m of road in Australia. $130 return on the ferry for a car, $230 for a van, $60 for a motorbike.

We deliberately chose low tide to visit the tip, so walked along the beach from the carpark to Pajinka and up and over the rocks on the way back.

So windy at the tip!

As far north of the sign as I could get without getting wet!
200m from Pajinka is the now abandoned Cape York Lodge. Once owned by Ansett/TAA.

Pretty cool to see a palm cockatoo, (goliath cockatoo, great black cockatoo)

This looks like a good spot to camp! (a few others closer to the beach - we figured a croc would get them first!)

Such a shame you can't swim
